Community health workers are critical to carrying out our mission. They speak local languages and understand local customs, and are trusted in the communities we serve. Once they're trained, they can seek out those who need medical help and treat them. And now with COVID-19 in the mix, they can teach proper hygiene to help prevent the spread.
