Volunteers Sarah and Martin Rubino need your support!
Sarah and Martin Rubino have served twice as CMMB volunteers in Nzara, South Sudan.
Sarah is a nurse midwife. Her work was crucial for saving the lives of newborns and mothers and for strengthening the health system in Nzara. Her husband Martin worked as a field engineer on expansion projects at the hospital.
Sarah and Martin took their first trip to South Sudan as newlyweds. The second was with their son Max. The family is planning to return again, now with their daughter Immaculee as well! They look forward to returning to the strong community of Nzara who has always been so welcoming.
Neonatal and maternal mortality rates remain high in many countries, demonstrating an urgent need of midwives and trained health professionals.
